has appointed Caroline Porcher Marquis as a senior advisor.
Porcher Marquis specialises in banking and finance law and will
support clients on project finance, corporate finance
acquisitions, LBO, refinancing, intra-group arrangements and
derivatives.
She began her career at Watson Farley & Williams, moving on to
posts at Orrick and Lefèvre Pelletier & Associés. She joins from
STC Partners, where she was a partner alongside Frédéric Jeannin,
Anne-Marie BB and Stéphane de Lassus, all of whom joined Speechly
Bircham in November 2013.
"The priority for Speechly Bircham Paris in its first year is to
develop a strong profile in the French market. We are delighted
that results so far have been very encouraging. Having Porcher
Marquis on-board will enable us to offer a more enhanced/bespoke
service to our French-based clients, as well as reinforce the
ties we have across the firm,” said Jeannin.
Speechly Bircham recently promoted six of its lawyers to the
status of partner, in areas including private wealth and
financial services.
The new partners are all located in the London office. The
private client partner is Alice Neilan. She is an international
private client lawyer, advising foreign domiciled individuals on
their UK tax matters and personal estate planning. She also
advises non-UK private banks and investment managers on how to
structure bank accounts and tailor their investment offering from
a UK tax perspective to attract UK resident, non-UK domiciled
clients.
The five other new partners at Speechly Bircham are
Adam Crossley (private equity); Fiona Edmond (construction);
David Hicks (corporate); Sarah Morley (real estate); and Louise
Ward (real estate).
