Banque Privee Fideuram Wargny, the Paris-based private banking subsidiary of the Italian private bank Fideuram, could be up for sale, according to reports in the French press. The bank is currently in the process of selling its online brokerage business, wargny.com, to Bourse Direct, the online brokerage business of French financial services firm Viel & Cie. This has led to speculation about its future, which has grown due to financial difficulties of parts of its business, according to one report in LesEchos. Banque Privee Fideuram Wargny employs around 200 staff, mainly in its Paris office.
