Southern Bank Launches Wealth Management Online Platform

CertusBank, the South Carolina-based firm, has beefed up its wealth management operation with the roll-out of a new platform.

The aspiration of the new platform is to achieve a balance between personal and broad advice, the firm said in a statement. On the new CertusWealth website, clients can access information-gathering tools, an online discount brokerage product, and sweep and investment accounts. The website seeks to give clients a simple way to access wealth management and investment options, the firm said.

CertusBank has $1.8 billion in assets and offices in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia and Northern Florida. In 2011, the bank acquired the franchises of the former Community South, First Georgia and Atlantic Southern banks. It is a subsidiary of CertusHoldings (formerly Blue Ridge Holdings), which acquired SAGE Southeastern Securities, an Atlanta-based registered broker-dealer, at the end of last year.
