Standard Bank, the South Africa-based firm, has appointed Jonathan Peake as head of risk, working with its group’s offshore operations across three jurisdictions; he will be based in Jersey, but also with oversight for the Isle of Man and Mauritius.

Peake, who fills the role vacated by chief executive Mark Hucker, was most recently head of risk management at Deutsche Bank International in the Channel Islands. Prior to this he was a senior manager at KPMG Forensic Services.
