SS&C Technologies Holdings, the financial services software provider, has launched an independent investment risk analysis solution for hedge funds, fund of funds, private equity funds and managed accounts, the firm said in a statement.

They new tool is called Risk Analytics and is integrated with SS&C's middle- and back-office fund administration services; it is also available as an in-house solution.

"Fund managers and administrators continue to be challenged to manage risk, reduce costs and grow with transparency and control," said Bill Stone, chairman and chief executive of SS&C.

"Reporting on value at risk, risk delta, stress testing and ex-ante risk-adjusted performance are measures that are becoming critical must-haves for today's alternative investment industry."

SS&C Fund Services provides independent fund administration services for 3,000 funds with $175 billion in assets under administration.
