Société Générale Private Banking Names New CEO For Monaco

Société Générale Private Banking has appointed Olivier Lecler as chief executive for Monaco, effective from yesterday, replacing Christian Zerry, who is retiring from the bank.
Lecler was latterly chief operating officer of SocGen Global Investment Management and Services, notably having worked on the creation and organisation of Amundi – the asset management company which is a joint venture between SocGen and Credit Agricole. He joined SocGen’s asset management group in 2006 and has held roles including head of finance and operations, chairman and CEO of SGAM Banque and CEO of the alternative investments subsidiary.
In his new role Lecler will be responsible for pursuing the growth strategy of SocGen Private Banking in Monaco, where the private bank serves mainly international high net worth clients.
In other recent developments, earlier this month SocGen Private Banking announced the creation of a new executive committee as part of its "Ambition SG 2015" plan. The bank is aiming for accelerated growth in its wealth management business and the new committee, comprising six executives and headed up by global CEO Daniel Truchi, has among its objectives to promote synergies with Société Générale Group and the sharing of expertise within the private bank.
