Société Générale Names Head Of Corporate, Investment Banking

Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking has appointed Stephane Hild as head of corporate and investment banking in Turkey.

Hild succeeds Pierre Lebit who joined Société Générale in 1985, and has now been appointed as head of corporate and investment banking in Belgium. Lebit replaces Claude Garsin and reports to Diony Lebot, head of corporate & investment banking, private banking, asset management and securities services for Western Europe.

Hild, who was previously head of corporate and investment banking in Switzerland since 2011, is based in Istanbul and reports to Slawomir Krupa, head of corporate & investment banking, private banking, asset management and securities services for Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Hild joined Société Générale in 1986 and spent seven years as an inspector. In 1997 he joined Société Générale Private Banking to serve as co-CEO of SG Hambros Group, before moving to Paris in 2001 to become global commercial director for Société Générale Private Banking.

In addition, Société Générale has appointed Hugues de la Marnierre as head of corporate and investment banking in Switzerland, replacing Hild. He is also appointed senior banker covering Swiss financial institutions. Marnierre was previously global head of client management for Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking since April 2011.

Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking currently has around 12,000 professionals present in 33 countries across Europe, the Americas and Asia-Pacific.
