Small Young Hedge Funds Do Better – Report

New research by software provider Pertrac Financial Solutions has discovered that hedge funds under two years old produced average returns of 17.5 per cent a year compared with 11.84 per cent for those more than four years old and also had less volatility. The study also found that smaller funds produced higher returns during the 10 years from 1996 to July 2006, but were riskier, with higher volatility than large funds.
