Fund Management
Singapore-Based Lighthouse Canton Partners With Clearstream

The firm said that by using Clearstream's fund processing system, it will give wealth management clients enhanced access to private market and semi-liquid investment opportunities.
Lighthouse
Canton, a Singapore-based international wealth and
investment firm operating in Asia and the Middle East, said
yesterday that it is partnering with Clearstream, Deutsche
Börse Group’s post-trade services provider. Clearstream will help
the firm deliver fund execution and custody services.
Through Clearstream’s Vestima platform – a fund processing system
managing order execution, settlement, and custody
– Lighthouse Canton will provide its wealth management
clients with enhanced access to private market and semi-liquid
investment opportunities. Access to private market funds is
increasingly important. For example, according to figures
this week from Ocorian, which
provides asset servicing for private markets and corporate
and fiduciary administration, Asia-based private market
funds hold around $3.51 trillion in assets under management.
The LC/Clearstream arrangement addresses growing investor
appetite for alternative investments that
combines operational efficiency, robust asset protection,
and compliance oversight – features that are increasingly sought
after by high net worth and ultra-high net worth investors
exploring alternative asset classes, Lighthouse Canton said in a
statement.
The partnership is already operational, with initial trades
completed, it said.
These are busy times for LC.
Earlier this week, it stated that it was seeking to
differentiate itself by building more in-house investment
capabilities.
In other developments, the firm has made several appointments to
enhance its coverage of clients from North Asia and Southeast
Asia. It has also partnered with Blue Sail Partners to form a
cooperation, using Lighthouse Canton's reach in Asia, India, the
Middle East, and the UK. Blue Sail Partners, a Swiss
single-family office and advisory firm, will work with Lighthouse
Canton to address an increasing need for sophisticated financial
solutions and cross-border advisory services. See more

providing integrated financial services – combines wealth and
asset management.
Lighthouse Canton hailed the Clearstream partnership: “This partnership reflects our commitment to delivering best-in-class fund servicing to our wealth management clients in Asia and the Middle East,” Audrey Tang, managing director, chief operating officer at Lighthouse Canton, said. “Clearstream’s global reach and operational excellence allow us to enhance efficiency while expanding access to alternative investments, both of which are increasingly important in today’s market.”
