Senior US Appointment At HSBC Private Bank

Allison Mahoney has joined HSBC Private Bank, part of the UK/Hong Kong-listed banking giant, as a senior vice president.
Ms Mahoney will be based in New York City and report to John Babcock, a managing director and regional manager for the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region.
In her new role, she will work on developing tailored wealth management strategies and providing access to the bank’s products and services to New York area clients, such as liquidity management, fiduciary services, as well as banking, family wealth and philanthropic advisory services, the firm said in a statement.
“Allison brings to HSBC more than 18 years of private banking experience serving the diverse needs of high net worth individuals during various market cycles,” said Patrick Campion, chief executive of HSBC’s US Private Bank.
Before joining HSBC Private Bank, Ms Mahoney was for more than eight years at US Trust Company in New York, where she was a senior relationship manager serving the needs of high net worth individuals. Prior to that, she was a relationship manager at The Bank of New York responsible for providing the bank’s HNW clients with financial planning, custody, fiduciary and investment management services.
With 96 offices in 42 countries, HSBC Private Bank offers banking, liquidity management, investment services, custody, tailored lending, wealth planning, trust and fiduciary services, insurance, family wealth advisory and philanthropic advisory to HNW individuals.
At 2 March 2009, profits before tax were $1,447 million for the year ended 31 December 2008 and combined client assets under management were $433 billion.
