Senior UBS Family Office, UHNW Client Services Figure Expands Role

In December last year, the Swiss firm made changes to its operating model, including the consolidation of its global family and institutional wealth team with its UHNW advisory activities.
Judy Spalthoff, a senior figure in the wealth management business
of UBS in the US, has become head of family office and UHNW
client services for Americas at the Swiss bank.
In this role, Spalthoff will continue to report to Jennifer
Gabrielli, who is MD, head of global family and institutional
wealth and UHNW advisory for the Americas, and head of unified
global banking for the Americas, UBS confirmed to this news
service.
Spalthoff announced her move on her Linkedin page; the bank later
confirmed the details to Family Wealth Report when asked
about the matter.
“In this expanded role, I will continue to build on our unique
strengths in serving founders, families, and family offices by
leading our exceptional team of subject matter experts across
family office governance and design, art advisory, and
consolidated reporting, while broadening UHNW client engagement
through private briefings, requests for proposals, flagship
events, and marketing initiatives,” she said.
In December last year, UBS unveiled a change to its operating
model, which involved consolidating its global family and
institutional wealth team with its UHNW advisory activities under
Gabrielli. These teams work with UBS financial advisors assisting
its largest and most complex clients to deliver services
from the investment bank.
