Senior Banker Joins UOB's Wealth Advisory Panel

The senior banker has held posts at Credit Suisse, UBS and AMP Capital, working in Europe and Asia.
Former UBS and Credit Suisse
top-level figure, Francesco De Ferranti (main picture) – who hasd
held C-suite roles in Asia and the EMEA regio – has joined
Singapore-headquartered UOB to sit on its newly-formed wealth
advisory panel.
De Ferranti is the panel’s first member, the bank said in a
statement.
The panel provides “strategic counsel and domain expertise,
supporting the leadership in identifying emerging trends,
refining regional growth strategies, enhancing client engagement
and product innovation, and driving digital
transformation,” according to Susan Hwee, head of group
retail, UOB.
“UOB is accelerating its wealth franchise growth by transforming
the business across the wealth continuum, from personal financial
services to private banking and across the region,” Hwee
said.
Most recently, De Ferranti was a senior advisor UBS in
Zurich, CEO for the EMEA region at Credit Suisse, and CEO
for global wealth management at that bank. He was also chief
executive and managing director for AMP Capital, based in Sydney.
He has obtained an MBA from INSEAD and has a bachelor’s degree in
economics and international business at New York University.
