SEB Asset Management Launches Asset Selection Fund Range In UK

SEB Asset Management, the asset management arm of Northern Europe-based financial services group SEB, has launched three versions of its SEB asset selection fund to UK retail investors.
The three versions of the fund use the same strategy but offer different levels of risk and return.
The funds, all managed by SEB’s global quant team, use a quantitative approach to invest globally across shares, bonds, currencies and commodities. The funds are UCITS III compliant, offering daily valuations and liquidity but allowing the flexibility to take long and short positions.
The investment strategy emphasises asset allocation as opposed to stock/bond picking, as these decisions explain 80-95 per cent of any portfolio returns, the company said in a press statement.
SEB established its first full branch in the UK in 1988 and the launch of this fund range represents a further expansion into the UK market. Its asset management division has €80 billion in assets under management.
