Schwab Launches New Business For Tech Integration Initiative

Charles Schwab has launched a new business, Schwab Intelligent Technologies, to work with other technology providers and create new integrated technology systems for advisors.

Intelligent Technologies will deliver Schwab OpenView Gateway, an open architecture platform that allows data integration between Schwab systems and those of other providers used by advisors.

The launch of the business is part of Schwab’s initiative to integrate disparate systems and workflows used by advisors. The firm has selected the CRM providers Salesforce.com, Junxure and Microsoft to participate in the integration program.

This month Junxure will begin its beta test with Schwab OpenView Gateway. Meanwhile, a group of advisors using Salesforce will also begin pilot testing both OpenView Gateway and Schwab OpenView Integrated Office this month, having completed beta testing in August.

Schwab OpenView Integrated Office is a turnkey platform, combining Salesforce CRM adapted for advisors who work with Schwab, and portfolio accounting and performance reporting from Schwab Portfolio Services.

“Integrating with Schwab technology is very exciting because for the first time we’ll have real-time data immediately available within a CRM environment,” said Greg Friedman, president of Junxure.
