Schroders WM Head Of Middle East, Geneva Begins In Posts

The appointment was part of a wider array of C-suite and executive changes at Schroders.
Neil De Sousa has taken up his post as Schroders Wealth
Management head of Geneva and head of Middle East and member
of the firm’s editorial board. De Sousa previously worked at
HSBC Private
Bank.
His appointment had been reported earlier here as part of a
series of senior changes across the UK-headquartered
group. De Sousa referred to his appointment on his LinkedIn
by page yesterday. Schroders is now
owned by US-headquartered Nuveen.
“I’m joining at a particularly exciting moment for Schroders
Wealth Management. Built on more than 220 years of heritage,
trusted client relationships and a long-term perspective, the
business is now entering its next chapter following the
combination with Nuveen,” De Sousa said. “I’m particularly
excited about further strengthening our Geneva platform and
Middle East franchise, while connecting our clients to the
breadth of expertise and opportunities available across the wider
organisation.”
At HSBC, De Sousa led the bank's international global
private banking business across the Middle East and North Africa,
Asia, and UK markets in Switzerland. (The latter role involves
catering to UK clients who live in Switzerland.)
