Schroders Searches For Successor In Thailand

Thailand has become an important wealth and private banking growth market. Banks such as SCB Julius Baer – the Swiss bank's joint venture in the country – and HSBC, Siam Commercial Bank, DBS, Maybank and LGT have appointed senior figures in the Southeast Asian country.
This week, Schroders
has confirmed that its head of the Thailand business has
left the UK-headquartered firm.
“We can confirm that Arthit Thongcharoen, Schroders’ head of
Thailand Business has decided to pursue a new opportunity outside
the organisation. We thank him for his significant contributions
over the past nine years and wish him well,” a spokesperson told
WealthBriefing when queried about a media
report.
“Thailand remains an important market for Schroders. Our Thailand
business continues to be supported by seasoned professionals with
deep market knowledge and global insights. We are in the process
of appointing a replacement,” the spokesperson said.
Earlier in June, Schroders appointed Sharon Sim as head of
business development, Asia.
