Scandinavian Asset Manager Hires Duo For UK

SKAGEN Funds, an independently-owned asset manager, has hired Tim Gordon and Nick Henderson to support its UK client relations unit.
Henderson joins from Financial Dynamics, where he was a senior vice president in the financial services team, providing strategic financial communications advice to international financial services companies. In his new role Henderson is responsible for servicing existing UK clients and developing new client relationships, particularly focusing on the wealth management market.
Gordon was previously at Liontrust Fund Partners, where he was a sales manager responsible for developing key relationships with IFAs and discretionary clients. His role also included building strategic alliances with UK-based life, pension and platform businesses. He has also held roles at New Star Asset Management, Aberdeen Asset Management and Invesco Fund Managers. In his new role Gordon will be responsible for the development of retail client relationships in the UK.
The appointments are part of plans to build the firm’s institutional, retail and wealth management presence in the UK, said Stephen Millar, managing director of SKAGEN Funds’ UK activities.
The firm, based in Stavanger in Norway, has some £12.9 billion ($21.1 billion) of assets under management.
