Saxo Launches ISA Trading Account

Saxo Capital Markets UK, the online trading and investment firm, has launched an individual savings account in partnership with European Pensions Management. The ISA will allow customers to invest their savings in a tax efficient manner through Saxo’s trading platform.

Customers can use Saxo’s platform to access 25  exchanges with over 4,200 investment instruments, including shares, exchange traded funds and investment trusts. They will have free use of Saxo’s equity research model and can invest on-the-go, by means of a mobile app for Apple and Android devices. Dealing in UK shares and ETFs costs from £8 per trade (around $12); there is a 0.5 per cent fee for currency conversion for non-GBP denominated stock and a £35 annual account fee

“We have identified a gap in the ISA market for an account that would allow savers to both perform in-depth research, using professional investment tools, and invest with ease,” Torben Kaaber, Saxo chief executive, said in a statement.

Saxo Capital Markets UK is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Saxo Bank, the Copenhagen-headquartered online trading and investment firm. EPM is an FSA-regulated provider of self-invested personal pensions and other financial services.
