The UK asset management firm has replaced a member of its “responsible stewardship” team.
London-based Sarasin & Partners has appointed Kwai San Wong as a stewardship analyst.
Wong joins from BMO Global Asset Management, where he spent five years as an analyst in the governance and sustainable investment team. He replaces Claire Molinari, who has left the firm to return to Australia.
He will support Sarasin's head of stewardship, Natasha Landell-Mills.
“Responsible stewardship is ingrained into our culture at Sarasin & Partners and Kwai San will be working with me on several key initiatives such as our endeavours to ensure more prudent international accounting standards; demonstrably independent audit and a more active approach to climate risk management,” said Landell-Mills.
Last week, the firm hired Iuliia Shpak and Ben Human within its systematic investment team.
As of the end of March 2016, Sarasin managed £13.4 billion ($19.3 billion) of assets on behalf of charities, institutions, intermediaries, pension funds and private clients, from the UK and overseas.
