Sarasin Boosts Systematic Investment Team

The London-based asset management firm has added two positions to its systematic investment team.

Sarasin & Partners has appointed Iuliia Shpak as systematic strategies specialist and Ben Human as junior quantitative analyst.

Shpak joins after eight years at Fleming Gulf, where she was latterly a director, responsible for the firm's Middle East product portfolio and global commodities.

Human joins from Prospect Wealth Management, where he spent two years as investment assistant and operations manager. He will help manage Sarasin’s systematic products while carrying out research into new strategies.

In their newly-created roles, the pair will report to Andrea Nardon, partner and head of quant at the firm.

“We have seen very strong performance across our strategies and this enhancement of our analysis capability will enable us to deliver consistent returns and develop further strategies to complement our existing offerings,” said Nardon.

As of the end of 2015, Sarasin managed £13.4 billion ($19.7 billion) on behalf of private clients, charities, institutions and intermediaries from the UK and overseas.
