On the crest of a busy few months worldwide, Salamanca Group has
created the new position of head of property services in its
London office.
Taking up the inaugural role is Craig Hallam, who will be
responsible for the operational delivery and relationship
management of property-related services. These include
acquisitions, sales, individual property or portfolio management,
and survey and valuation reports.
At the merchant banking and operational risk management business,
Hallam will also work with the recently-acquired Trust &
Fiduciary business unit, previously of Investec Bank, and
Salamanca Group’s family office services team.
He moves from LSL Property Services, where he served as business
development director, leading the development of corporate
relationships.
During his time in the industry, Hallam has gained expertise
advising high net worth and overseas owners, as well as corporate
institutions, on property transactions totalling over £5 billion
($8.4 billion).
Previously, he was business development director at Hometrack, a
residential property data provider, and worked at private sector
residential services firm Clearsprings Management as property
director.
Combined with the recent hire of Catherine Grum as head of family
office services (see here), Salamanca Group is increasing its service
lines to “deliver clients’ personal and strategic objectives
across the board,” chief executive Martin Bellamy said in a
statement.
In under a year, the group has opened offices in Cape Town, Rio
de Janiero, Brazil, and Houston in the US as it cements its
expansion plans across the globe.
