Sal Oppenheim Taps Deutsche for Dusseldorf Head

The Dusseldorf-based branch of private bank Sal. Oppenheim jr. & Cie has a new managing director, with the retirement of Michael Muller. Mr Muller, who has headed the branch since it opened in 2002, will be succeeded by Frank Wieser, who comes to the role after a stint as managing director in northern Bavaria and Thuringia for Deutsche Bank's Private Wealth Management unit. Sal. Oppenheim uses an integrated asset management and investment banking model to service affluent individuals and family businesses. The bank is particularly strong in the North Rhine Westphalia region, and is increasingly targetting SME entrepreneurs with its offering, according to a statement from the bank.
