London-based Sagitta Asset Management believes it can grow its business considerably during the next few years and is making a number of changes to ensure rapid growth. Chris Cottrell, chief executive of the private client asset manager told WealthBriefing that he saw no reason why the firm could not be managing a great deal more in assets than its current $1.5 billion. “It is perfectly possible to see Sagitta managing much more than that level within the next five years,” said Mr Cottrell. “And we believe we are putting the right structures in place to ensure this works.” Sagitta targets clients with at least $5 million in investable assets. “We have around 100 clients and believe we can grow this steadily through the reputation we are building with our existing client base, where we get our largest number of referrals from,” said Mr Cottrell. He added that there will be some major changes at Sagitta within the next six months, but was not prepared to elaborate on these. “We are in advanced stages of some major changes,” he said. The London firm is also looking to hire additional staff. “I would like to hire an additional client manager to complement Conrad Montford, our current client director,” said Mr Cottrell.
