Saffery Champness Promotes Audit Partner In Guernsey

Accountancy firm Saffery Champness has promoted Jeremy Ellis to audit partner in Guernsey as part of a “senior strategic move” to reinforce its professional services offering.

As audit partner Ellis will assume overall responsibility for the Guernsey quality control reviews for those clients with listings on stock exchanges including London, Johannesburg, Bermuda and the Channel Islands.

Ellis has been at the firm for six years and became a partner in the Guernsey office in April - along with Mike Strong and Pete Hackleton - having played a “key role” in the growth of the Guernsey audit and tax partnership.

In other recent moves, last month James Hender was appointed to partner within Saffery's London headquarters. He joined the firm’s private wealth and estates group from Smith & Williamson, where he had spent nine years advising high net worth clients.

Saffery Champness has 58 partners and senior directors, with nine offices on the UK mainland and offices in Guernsey and Geneva.
