Saffery Champness Appoints Boss Of Not-For-Profit Group

The UK's Saffery Champness has appointed Liz Hazell to lead its not-for-profit group.
Saffery Champness, the UK-based fiduciary, tax and accountancy firm, has named Liz Hazell as the new head of its national not-for-profit group.
Based in London, Hazell replaces John Shuffrey, who will stay on as partner and member of the firm's not-for-profit group.
Hazell, who joined Saffery Champness last year, was previously head of charities at PwC. She brings over 20 years’ experience of working with charities, grant giving foundations, livery companies and international non-governmental organisations. Her areas of expertise include risk management, governance and strategy.
Saffery Champness’s national not-for-profit group is made up of partners and other fee earners from across the firm’s nine UK offices. As part of her new role, Hazell will edit the group's Charities Briefing newsletter.
The firm said it is the only UK accountancy firm to have a team of VAT consultants dedicated to advising charities.
