RSM Tenon Bolsters Investment, Technology Offering

RSM Tenon has appointed former Macquarie director John Porteous to head up its investment and technology operations, which will include the firm's wealth platform, according to media reports. He was latterly head of distribution for Macquarie, before the Australian bank left the IFA market in the UK. His new role will include developing additional direct-to-market services for clients.

Porteous has also held a number of senior positions over a 20-year career in financial services including head of private clients at BDO Stoy Hayward Investment Management.

In other recent news March saw RSM Tenon bolster its presence in England and Scotland with three senior hires: Max Marchini joined as regional manager to lead the group’s advisory teams in Reading, Swindon and Bristol; Paul Drage joined the Swindon office as a senior consultant; and David MacFarlane was appointed to carry out a similar role to Drage based in Edinburgh.
