Rothschild Wealth Management Appoints Head Of Investments

Rothschild has created the role of head of investments at its UK wealth management business, as a greater management structure is implemented in the division.

Rothschild has created the role of head of investments at its UK wealth management business.

Robert Blaxland, who takes the inaugural role, previously served as managing director and head of European research at JP Morgan.

During his 27-year career he has held posts in institutional equity sales as well as research and investment management, including firms such as Rubicon Investment Management, Polar Capital and Morgan Stanley.

The hire comes as part of Rothschild’s plans to nurture its investment proposition, the firm said in a statement. Blaxland joined Rothschild yesterday and will report to Mark Kay, head of the firm’s UK wealth management business.
