A global insurance broker and risk advisor for the ultra wealthy has opened for business in Geneva.

Chicago-based Aon Private Risk Management provides insurance and risk management advice to ultra high net worth clients. As Geneva’s popularity among the super rich continues to grow, APRM will open a five-strong office of specialists to add to their European network, which includes London, Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Madrid.

“The world has become a riskier place and the wealthy are recognising that they need to take a proactive approach to protecting their assets,” said Romain Vanolli, head romandie at APRM, which offers advice on such matters as taking out kidnapping insurance.

As at 30 June net income attributable to Aon stockholders was $149 million.
