Religare Names New CEO for India

Religare Capital Markets has recently appointed Tarun Kataria as chief executive officer of its Indian operations.

Tarun joins the company from HSBC, where he was managing director of global banking and markets. He also held a dual role as vice chairman of HSBC Securities and Capital Markets India. His appointment is effective once he completes his ongoing obligations with HSBC, Religare said in a statement.

Religare has been beefing up its operations in a bid to become more globally competitive. Over the past months, the firm named a new global CEO, Martin Newson, global COO, Rob Munro, global head of equities, Nick Holtby, and CEO for the Asia region, Rob Flynn, among a string of other appointments.
