RBS Coutts Appoints NRI Head For North Asia

RBS Coutts has appointed Varun Minocha to lead its non-resident indian business in North Asia.

Minocha, who was previously an investor advisor for the private bank, will be based in Hong Kong for his new role. Prior to his advisory post, which he assumed in November 2009, he was a banker at the NRI division of BoA Merrill Lynch. As NRI head, he will be responsible for driving the division's operations in Hong Kong and North Asia.

"The NRI segment is an integral part of our North Asia business and will play a key role in supporting our growth ambitions in the region," Ignatius Chong, head of private banking, North Asia, said in a statement.

RBS Coutts is the international private banking arm of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group and offers a broad range of wealth management services.
