RBC Wealth Management Bolsters Private Banking In The Bahamas

RBC Wealth Management has added Jeremy Proffitt – latterly of Vestra Wealth in the UK – to its private banking team based in Nassau in the Bahamas.

Proffitt left Vestra, where he was an equity partner, about six months ago and moved to the Bahamas for personal reasons, according to a spokesperson for his previous employer. Earlier in his career, he held business development and client relationship management roles at Lazard Asset Management and Newton Investment Management.

At RBC, he will manage relationships with high and ultra high net worth clients in the region. He will also help to develop relationships with intermediaries in the Bahamas and elsewhere to promote the wealth manager’s offshore business in the Caribbean.

RBC Wealth Management has some C$305 billion (around $300 billion) in assets under management and C$525 billion of assets under administration.
