RBC Wealth Management Appoints HSBC Manager As Investments Head

RBC Wealth Management said today that it has hired former HSBC Private Bank senior manager Tracy Maeter as head of investments, British Isles.

Maeter will be based in London and will be responsible for oversight of RBC Wealth Management’s discretionary and advisory investments platforms in the British Isles, the Canadian-based banking group said.

Maeter worked for five years at HSBC. Among her roles there were team head, sales management and team head, high net worth. She has also held positions at JP Morgan and a number of consulting firms.

"Over the past year we have ramped up our investment offering to clients, and have appointed a dedicated investment strategist responsible for making short-term tactical asset allocation calls to take advantage of market volatility, as well as FX and structured products specialists," said Kevin Flanagan, head of investments for RBC Wealth Management’s international division.

"On the advisory side, we have seen an increase in demand from private clients for structured products - a trend we think is likely to continue. This latest hire reflects our continued dedication to building out our British Isles onshore and offshore capabilities and to providing our clients with sound investment advice and access to a broad suite of funds, products and other investment vehicles," Flanagan said.
