RBC Names New Wealth Management Chief Operating Officer For Asia

The new CFO, who will be based in Singapore, has worked at the Canadian group since 2018.
Royal
Bank of Canada has appointed Bee Leng Phua as chief operating
officer for its wealth management business in Asia, taking effect
from 1 November, it said today.
Bee Leng Phua will be succeeding Kamran Azim, who is continuing
to serve the bank as head of private banking (Singapore) and
deputy CEO of RBC’s Singapore branch.
Based in Singapore, Bee Leng Phua will serve as head of the APAC
business transformation group and finance change management at
RBC. In her new role, she will report to Rod Ireland, head of
wealth management for Asia and head of global markets,
APAC.
At RBC since 2018, Bee Leng Phua brings more than 25 years of
experience in business and finance transformation to the role.
Prior to joining RBC, she served in senior roles at Credit Suisse
for 15 years and previously worked at SAP Asia.
