Royal Bank of Canada has beefed up its presence in the southwest of the US by be establishing a global private banking team in its representative office in Houston, Texas. The team will provide customized financial services for high net worth individuals and institutions with international interests. RBC’s Global Private Banking division has been increasing its presence in the US over the past year by adding representative offices in Houston and San Francisco to complement to its existing network of branches in Miami and New York. "As part of this expansion, we are also pleased to announce the appointment of Darrell King, as senior manager of International Services, with the responsibility for leading the business development efforts of the Houston office and for expanding the company into the attractive Texas and Southwestern US markets," said Michael Moodie, head of US and Caribbean Region for global private banking at RBC.
