RBC Asset Management Secures 10-Man Equity Team In London

RBC Global Asset Management has added 10 global equity specialists to its investment management team in London, hiring an entire team of specialists from First State Investments (UK).

RBC Global Asset Management has added 10 global equity specialists to its investment management team in London, hiring an entire team of specialists from First State Investments (UK). Led by Habib Subjally, the team managed $2.5 billion in a variety of global equity strategies for institutions and private clients.

Subjally will assume the position of senior portfolio manager and head of global equities at RBC GAM-UK, while Neil Abbott, Luis Benoliel, Marcus Lun, Jeremy Richardson, Julie Thomas, Dag Wetterwald, Perry Winfield and Ben Yeoh are joining as senior portfolio managers, and Romain Scampini will join as portfolio manager.

Over the past eight years, Subjally was head of global equities and led the global equity team at First State Investments. The core of his team has worked together for the last seven years, with an average tenure of 16 years in the industry. The firm said that five from the equity team have already joined RBC GAM-UK, while Subjally and the remaining members will join in early March.
