Raymond James has added financial advisory team James Schmidt and Bernice Murff to its network. 

Schmidt and Murff recently formed The Schmidt Wealth Management Group of Raymond James and opened the first Raymond James & Associates office in Richmond, Virginia. The duo latterly worked at Wells Fargo, where they managed some $90 million in assets and recorded $1.1 million in annual fees and commissions. They are joined by Tameika Aldridge, their client service associate. 

The new office is located temporarily at Westerre Parkway, Richmond.

The move is the latest in a series of hires and new partnerships at Raymond James' North American business in recent months. Just yesterday, the firm's Canadian arm added two new branch managers for its Victoria and Toronto offices. (See related report here.)
