Rathbones Launches New Discretionary Fund Service For IFAs

Rathbone Investment Management, the UK-based discretionary investment manager, will launch a package of discretionary fund management services for independent financial advisors at a series of seminars across the UK this autumn.

This portfolio service is intended for IFAs with groups of clients with £25,000 ($40,000) or more to invest.

"In the light of the Retail Distribution Review, IFAs may be seeking solutions for clients’ investment needs that enable them to delegate custody and investment management while retaining and maintaining their client relationship,” said Ian Buckley, the firm’s board director.

“Our service has significant parallels with the wrap platforms while offering the additional advantages of an investment manager’s expertise and access to a wider range of assets and asset classes, including investments not generally available to the retail market.”

The launch seminars will take place in October and November this year in cities across the UK.
