Rathbone Investment Management, a division of Rathbone Brothers, a UK-based private client manager, has appointed Fenella Agar, Tim Bagshaw, Penny Harris and Jo Sword, as investment directors. All four join from Kleinwort Benson Private Bank. The four new directors, who bring collectively over 60 years’ experience, will be responsible for managing private client investment portfolios. Rathbone Brothers reported a sharp rise in assets under management last month, up 15.7 per cent to £11 billion ($20.2 billion) in the first quarter of 2006, partly due to the acquisition of the private banking business of Dexia Banque Internationale.
