London-headquartered Psigma
Investment Management, part of the Punter Southall Group, has
appointed Tim Wishart to lead the firm’s expansion in Scotland as
part of its strategic growth initiative.
The new office is based in Edinburgh and follows the opening of
the firm's first regional office in Birmingham last year, headed
by Toby Carpenter. Wishart will be responsible for private
client, charity and pension portfolios.
He joins from Rathbones, where he spent 12 years. Initially, he
worked in their London office before transferring to Edinburgh in
2007.
Wishart began his career in 1990 at James Capel, where he worked
for 12 years managing private client portfolios, personal pension
plans, trusts and charities.
“Scotland offers excellent growth potential for our ambitious
growth plans and closely follows the opening of our Birmingham
office last year. This latest regional expansion further
leverages our ability to share the intellectual capital and
expertise of the Punter Southall Group, which now has 21 Scottish
based wealth management specialists," said John Howard-Smith,
chief executive of Psigma Investment Management.
Psigma Investment Management had assets under management of £2.1
billion ($3.45 billion) as at December 2013.
