Prominent Swiss Private Banking Figure Becomes Banque Cramer Chair

With a career CV that has seen him hold top risk management positions at banks such as LLB Group, EFG Bank and UBS, Reto Kunz is now chairman of this Geneva bank.

Cramer & Cie, a Geneva-headquartered private bank, has
appointed senior Swiss bank industry figure Reto Kunz (main
picture) as chairman of its board of directors, succeeding
Massimo Esposito, who will continue to serve as a
director.
The Swiss bank has also appointed Fabian Käslin (pictured below)
as head of private banking.

Before working as an independent risk management expert, Kunz was
chief risk officer at EFG Bank and BSI, head of group risk
management at Liechtensteinische Landesbank (now called LLB
Group), head of credit risk wealth management global, and then
risk officer at UBS. He was also involved in setting up
governance at Switzerland-based Seba Bank, now Amina Bank, one of
the first crypto banks.
Käslin is responsible for managing the institution's private
banking activities. After starting his banking career more than
15 years ago at UBS, he served in senior roles at Julius
Baer, first in Zurich in private banking, then in Montevideo as
chief operating officer for the South LatAm region, before
returning to Zurich to become deputy COO for international
business. In 2021, he became chief financial officer and COO of
BIL Switzerland, before being appointed CEO of Banque Havilland
(Liechtenstein).
