Prominent MENA Region Law Firm Adds Partners

The law firm, which has won awards from this news service for its work in areas touching on wealth management, has added specialists in areas such as M&A, dispute resolution and cross-border litigation.
Al
Tamimi & Company, a full-service law firm in the Middle
East, has appointed Anton Konnov and Igor Gorchakov as partners,
effective immediately.
The partners’ arrival will support the firm’s aim
to expand its transactional merger and acquisition, banking
and contentious offerings, it said in a statement
yesterday.
Konnov, who is qualified in England & Wales, New York, and
Russia, previously served as the managing partner of A&O
Shearman’s Moscow office and has led teams on international
transactions. His practice spans corporate law, regulatory
advisory, and cross-border M&A.
Gorchakov, who is dual-qualified in England & Wales and
Russia, holds full rights of audience before the DIFC courts
in Dubai. He specialises in dispute resolution and banking
matters, including international arbitration, cross-border
litigation, and financial regulatory compliance.
The law firm has made a number of hires, including those of
Omar Zizi who joined as a corporate/M&A partner in
Casablanca, Rachel Fox, who joined the firm's Abu Dhabi office as
tax partner, Henry Storrar, who joined as a corporate/M&A
partner in Abu Dhabi, and Paul Taylor, who joined as regional
head of arbitration, based in Dubai.
Al Tamimi and Company has 17 offices across 10 countries, with a
team of more than 580 legal professionals. In 2019 it collected
