Profits Surge At Nordea, AuM Hit All Time High

Nordea, the Scandinavian banking group which provides services including wealth management, recorded a net profit of €711 million (around $979 million) for the third quarter, up 32 per cent from the previous quarter, on income of €2.4 billion.
Assets under management, meanwhile, rose 6 per cent over the three months to 30 September, hitting just over €180 billion. This represents a 21 per cent year-on-year increase.
The bank also reported that the number of "gold" and private banking customers it serves went up by 47,500.
The group increased its Tier 1 capital ratio excluding transition rules by 4 basis points to 11.5 per cent; and its cost/income ratio fell to 51 per cent from 55 per cent in the previous quarter.
