Butterfield Private Bank, the UK-based private bank, will stage a road show of seminars around England to help advisors understand the new Self Invested Personal Pensions legislation. The seminars, which will commence on 9 May, aim to identify benefits for the banks clients and to explore the promotion of SIPPs. The briefings will also include Financial Services Authority updates on regulatory changes and legal changes. There will be consideration of how SIPPs are affected by inheritance tax, and other issues post A-Day. Butterfield said it will be co-presenting the seminars with independent trustees and targeting financial advisors. The first seminar on 9 May will take place in London, taking in Birmingham on the 10th; Guildford on the 11th; Bristol on the 16th and finishing in Cheltenham on the 17th.
