Portugal and Bangladesh To Negotiate DTA

Portugal and Bangladesh have agreed to negotiate a bilateral double taxation agreement, reports Tax-News.

The DTA will aim to improve trade and investment relations between Portugal and Bangladesh, while the latter also hopes Portugal will help it to improve its relationship with the European Union, according to the publication.

Portugal's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Luis Amado, and his Bangladeshi counterpart, Dr Dipu Moni, discussed the proposed agreement at a meeting in Lisbon, states the news site.

Portugal has signed several tax legislation documents recently, latterly a revised DTA with Luxembourg.
