US-based Pioneer Investments has appointed Bill Taylor as the new head of its relationship and strategic investment division. Mr Taylor, who will be based in Boston, is to be involved in sales organisation at the group in a role that will see him dealing with broker-dealer relationship and corporate accounts.

Mr Taylor transfers over from Evergreen Investments where he presided over the company's managed assets division, Pioneer said.

Pioneer Investments has a total of €165 billion of assets under management. Institutional clients account have invested some €45 billion with the global investment management group. The group is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Italian bank UniCredit.
