Pioneer Investments Adds To Iberian Team, With Eyes On Private Banks, FO Clients

Pioneer Investments has appointed Julia Salazar as a sales manager for Iberian markets as it targets the markets there.

Pioneer Investments has appointed Julia Salazar as a sales manager for Iberian markets as it targets the markets there, it said yesterday.

She is based in Madrid, reporting to Almudena Mendaza, senior sales manager of the Iberian office at the firm. She will develop and expand the firm’s business in Spain and Andorra, with a specific focus on retail banks, private banks and family offices, it said in a statement.

So far this year, the firm has logged net sales of over €500 million ($657 million), with total assets under management for the Iberian, North America Offshore and Latin America region at €7.432 billion, according to José Castellano, head of Iberia, North America Offshore & Latin American Markets.

Before this role, Salazar was a client relationship manager at Legg Mason Asset Management. Prior to that, she worked for Santander Asset Management.
