From the winter semester 2006/07 until the end of 2008, Swiss private bank Pictet will fund three half-time research positions at the Centre for Family Business at the University of St Gallen. The funding will allow the centre to develop a broader-based structure for teaching, international research and further training for family businesses at the university. CFB-HSG's goal is to occupy a nationally dominant and internationally acknowledged position in the area of research into family businesses. At the start of the winter semester 2006/07, the three half-time research positions at the centre will be filled by its three founder members, Dr Urs Frey, Dr Thomas Zellweger and Mr Frank Halter. University of St Gallen old boy, Ivan Pictet said: "We are making an active contribution towards research into family businesses. And this is a field of research for which there is ever-increasing demand among entrepreneurs and students alike.”
