Pictet Launches First Onshore Fund For UK Investors

The fund house has launched a fund for UK investors that is designed to avoid some of the volatility that equities can bring.
Pictet Asset Management, part of Swiss bank Pictet, has rolled out its
first onshore fund for UK investors, called the FP Pictet Multi
Asset Portfolio. It is designed to target equity-like returns
without the characteristic volatility associated with that asset
class, PAM said in a statement.
The portfolio is managed by the firm’s London-based team; that
team is led by Percival Stanion. It also includes Andrew Cole and
Shaniel Ramjee, who joined the business from Baring Asset
Management in November last year.
The fund has a target to give a positive absolute return in
excess of the ICE LIBOR GBP three-month rate over 12-month
rolling periods; the portfolio may invest in assets including
bonds, equities and “real assets” such as property. It
is available to advisors on a number of platforms: Cofunds,
for example, will offer the fund with a reduced investment
manager fee of 0.275 per cent per annum via the E share class
until 31 December 2015 or the first £400 million.
Other platforms giving access to the fund include Fidelity,
Hargreaves Lansdown, Transact, Novia, FNZ, James Hay, Pershing,
Alliance Trust, Zurich, Aviva and Aegon.
The fund is a non-UCITS retail scheme and has daily
liquidity.
