Paladyne Systems, the New York-based hedge fund service provider, has expanded its alliance network of market data, risk and pricing vendors, with a new appointment.

As vice president of alliances, Sean O’Mara will expand and maintain an integrated group of third-party products, offered through Paladyne’s hosted front-to-back office technology platform.

Prior to this appointment Mr O’Mara managed third-party and client connectivity services at UBS Prime Brokerage. He has also worked for Lehman Brothers and Deutsche Bank in prime brokerage services.

“Sean is uniquely qualified to grow and extend Paladyne’s alliances program and distribution network. With an extensive background in prime brokerage, Sean has many years of experience working with hedge funds and third-party vendors to define and implement complex infrastructure solutions,” said Sameer Shalaby, chief executive of Paladyne Systems.

Paladyne develops and distributes products designed specifically for hedge fund operations. It provides hedge funds, prime brokers and fund administrators with a hosted application service provider or a local customer site installation.
