Outsourced Services Provider Hires Duo For London, Guernsey Offices

Ipes has brought over a pair with experience at KPMG and UBS to fill its latest vacancies.

Ipes, an outsourced services provider to private equity, has made two appointments in the UK and Guernsey.

Sumindra Bains-Cleary joins the firm as head of commercial finance in London while David Bateman joins as a manager in Guernsey.

Bains-Cleary most recently worked at Xchanging, a technology outsourcing firm, where she spent five years as corporate development and corporate strategy manager. Prior to that, she spent half a decade working in KPMG’s corporate finance department, where she specialised in cross-border acquisitions and disposals.

She will report to Ipes’ chief financial officer and will be responsible for providing management information and business intelligence across the group.

Bateman joins Ipes’ Guernsey unit from Conifer Financial Services, where he most recently worked as head of operations in Singapore and the British Virgin Islands. In prior roles, Bateman led teams in Ireland and the Cayman Islands while he worked for UBS, the world’s largest wealth manager.

In his new role, he will be responsible for managing an administration team responsible for numerous private equity funds.

“Both will be a great asset to our team and each brings a wealth of industry experience in their specialist fields,” said Chris Merry, chief executive of Ipes.
